Catherine P. “Katie” Sepich, 89, of Canton, died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1998, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 4, 1908, in St. David, a daughter of Frank and Helen Tomlianovich Tadejevich. She married Michael Sepich on Feb. 6, 1926, in St. David. He died June 22, 1965. One son, William, one brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Cecilia Allen of Peoria; two sons, the Rev. Larry of Milwaukee and James of Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, John Tadejevich of Springfield; two sisters, Margaret Behnke of Canton and Helen Fray of Astoria; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a charter member of the Blue Cross Circle.
A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at her church with Rev. Larry Sepich officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are by Oaks-Hines Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to her church or any charity.
