Robert Snowden, 90, of Vermont, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 1995, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 13, 1904, in Eldorado Township, a son of Nelson and Elizabeth Musgrove Snowden. He married Lillian Angell on Feb. 16, 1925. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Mary Anne Bartlett of Quincy; seven sons, Paul and Nelson, both of Vermont, Howard of Quincy, Donald of Macomb, Richard of Virginia Beach, Va., Robert of West Chicago and Phillip of St. Paul, Minn.; 29 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
One son, Lyle, one brother and one grandson preceded him in death.
He was a farmer in the Eldorado Township area and was an implement dealer in Industry for many years. He was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian church near Industry and Industry Kiwanis Club.
Funeral services were held Monday at his church with Chaplain Ron Derrig-Green officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to his church or McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program in Macomb.
Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
