VeteranPaul Snowden

Paul Snowden, 90, of Eldorado Township, rural Vermont, died Nov. 18, 2015, at his home.

He was born Oct. 21, 1925, in rural Vermont, a son of Robert and Lillian Angell Snowden. He married Carol Ryun on April 8, 1950, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on Aug. 20, 1984.

He also was preceded in death by one brother; and one son, Roger Paul.

Surviving are one son, Robert of Quincy; three daughters, Kathy (and Al Miller) France of Oswego, Linda (and Marty) Carrow of Godfrey and Karen (and Matt) Schulte of Ursa; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a lifetime farmer and worked for G.T.E. retiring in July 1991. He was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran in World War II serving in the South Pacific. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #26 in Vermont.

Services were held Tuesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend Wally Holt officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
