Harold G. Sears Of Industry Dies

Harold G. Sears, 68, of Industry died at 3:15 p.m. Friday of a heart attack in the Industry Drug Store. He had been in poor health the past 4½ years.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Industry Methodist Church with Rev. E. L. Dunavin and Rev. Ray Watson officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery.

He was born May 28, 1901, in Eldorado Township to Jerry and Lena Lamprell Sears. He resided in Eldorado Township nearly all of his life having moved to Industry in 1955. He was married to Flora Mable Pennington on Oct. 25, 1922. She survives.

He was a member of the West Prairie Presbyterian Church, the Modern Woodman Lodge and the Industry Kiwanis Club of which he was past president. He had been engaged in farming.

In addition to his widow he is survived by one son, Gerald Sears of Adair; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Margaret) Swearingen of Industry; two sisters, Miss Blanche Sears and Miss Dorothy Sears of Vermont; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
