Margaret L. Swearingen, 76, of Industry died at 5:15 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born March 1, 1929, in McDonough County, a daughter of Harold and Flora Pennington Sears. She married Max Swearingen on Sept. 15, 1947, in Macomb. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jack (and Phyllis) of Littleton and Joe of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Nancy (and Jim) Cozad of Azle, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerald (and Vera) Sears of Adair.
She was a cook for Industry schools from 1963-1975.
She was a member of West Prairie Presbyterian Church near Industry.
Services were held Monday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Rev. Cindy Rettig officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery.
