Former Astorian Died In Ohio

Harvey Schisler’s Remains Brought Here; Funeral Services Held Today

The remains of Harvey Schisler were brought to Astoria yesterday from Sciotoville, Ohio, for burial.

Mr. Schisler died at his home in that city, Sunday, following an illness of several months duration. He was unmarried and lived with his mother.

Harvey Lloyd Schisler, son of John and Minerva (Kelly) Schisler, was born at Astoria, Ill., on Dec. 13th, 1890. He was aged 50 years and 22 days.

Mr. Schisler was a mechanic and was employed in the local garages here for several years before moving to Sciotoville. He was a member of the Astoria U. B. church.

Besides his mother, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mayme Dorman and Mrs. Gladys Skillman of Sciotoville, Ohio, Oscar of New Boston, Ohio, and Glenn of Peoria, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted Monday in Sciotoville, after which the body was brought by train to Astoria and short funeral services were conducted at the Horton Funeral Home this morning by Rev. C. P. Ellis. Interment in the South Fulton cemetery.
