Former Astoria Resident Dies Saturday In Peoria

Glen W. Schisler, 53, a Caterpillar Tractor employe, and a Peoria resident for 27 years, died Saturday afternoon.

Prior to March, 1952, he had been employed in the maintenance department at Caterpillar for 10 years, previously working for Finch Trucking Co. for three years.

Born June 24, 1900, in Astoria, a son of John and Minerva Kelly Schisler, he married Phoebe Miles in Lewistown Nov. 30, 1921.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Miles, of Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Glenna Hall of Hanna City and Mrs. Karolue Scally of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bonzo of Marion, Ohio, and Mrs. Mayme Dorman of Portsmouth, O., and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary, Peoria, with the Rev. S. A. Woodruff Jr., with burial in Springdale cemetery.
