Frank Richardson, 82, of Browning died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at his home.

He was born March 16, 1923, in Kerton Township, Fulton County, a son of Lafe and Edna Stanley Richardson. He married Helen Cooper on Aug. 27, 1942, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Larry (and Sue) of Springfield; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry (and Eloise) and Paul (and Susan), both of Havana, and Lafe "Todd" (and Shirley) of Gravois, Mo.; and one sister, Martha Wright of Cuba.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce McCombs; one sister, Helen Farwell; and eight brothers, Lawrence, Ralph, Calvin, Russell, Stanley, Phillip, Jim and Harold.

A World War II Army veteran, he served with the 101st Airborne Division.

He had lived and farmed in Schuyler County since 1949. He was a member of Schuyler County Farm Bureau.

Services were held Saturday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Larry Reinke officiating. Interment was in Browning Cemetery where military honors were accorded by Schuyler American Legion Post 4.

Memorials may be made to the Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
