Helen Farwell

Helen F. Farwell, 87, of rural Rushville died at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.

She was born March 23, 1915, in Bath, a daughter of Lafe and Edna Stanley Richardson. She married Dean Farwell on Feb. 17, 1934, in Woodland Township, Fulton County. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Shirley Russell of Astoria; three sons, Curt (and Sharon) of Havana, and Randy (and Yvonne) and Regis (and Mary), both of Peoria; one sister, Martha Wright of Canton; four brothers; Jerald (and Eloise) Richardson and Paul (and Susie) Richardson, both of Havana, Frank (and Helen) Richardson of Browning and Lafe (and Shirley) Richardson Jr. of Gravois Mills, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandson and eight brothers.

She was of the Assembly of God faith.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Marvin Chockley officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
