Gwendolyn A. Ray, 84, of Astoria, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 1995, at her residence.
She was born March 21, 1911, in Schuyler County, the daughter of Harry S. and Lanta C. Jones Stauffer. She married Clinton F. “Jim” Ray on Nov. 29, 1929, in Astoria. He died Oct. 11, 1994. One brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Jo Ann) Cooper of Astoria; one brother, Byron Stauffer of Carlinville; and one granddaughter.
She was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
