Steward Rose Bluff City Passes Away

Steward E. Rose, a well known retired farmer, died at his home near Bluff City Tuesday evening at about 6:30 o'clock, following an illness of several years duration. He had been bedfast for the past three years.

Mr. Rose was born in Woodland township, Nov. 19, 1863, a son of Samuel and Sarah Shaw Rose. He was united in marriage to Etta Dutton, who with the following children survive: Samuel Rose of Peoria; Frank Rose of Havana, Mrs. Ella Eustice and Mrs. Bessie Hamm at home, also a half brother, John W. Rose of Bluff City.

Funeral services will be held at the Bluff City church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. H. D. Simmons. Burial in Bluff City cemetery.
