Frieda H. Parks, 82, formerly of Havana, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at Astoria Healthcare Center in Astoria.
She was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Pleasant View, a daughter of Harry and Edith Taylor Jones. She married Grover W. Parks on Aug. 16, 1952, in Fulton County. He died Jan. 21, 1996.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Knowles of Canton and Carol Greenhalgh of Cimarron, Kan.; one son, Grover of Havana; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Paul Jones of Farmington; one sister, Pauline Reedy of Lewistown; one half sister, Deloris French of Lewistown; one half brother, Richard Jones of California; her stepmother, Alberta Jones of Beardstown; and two stepsisters, Florence Woodruff of Rushville and Norma Roth of Beardstown.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held Friday at Vermont Cemetery with Collis Trone officiating. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
