VeteranRodney D. Parr Of Vermont Dies

Rodney Dean Parr, 57, of Vermont died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1980, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

A self-employed carpenter, he was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.

Born Feb. 20, 1923, in Vermont, a son of Elzie and Lula Jones Parr, he married Louise Heaton Dec. 15, 1945, in Rushville.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Scotty of Adair; two grandchildren; his mother of Vermont; and one sister, Mrs. Willis (Marjorie) Baker of Vermont.

One son and his father preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Kost Memorial Home, where visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Rev. Dan Roberts will officiate and burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
