Marjorie BakerMarjorie Baker, 96, of Macomb, formerly of Vermont, died at 12:45 p.m. Nov. 23, 2017, at her home in Macomb.

She was born July 20, 1921, in Ipava, the daughter of Elzie L. and Lula Belle Jones Parr. She married Willis E. “Bill” Baker on July 27, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1995.

She also was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Parr.

Surviving are four daughters, Patricia (and Alan) Hughes and Rita (and David) Cassel, both of Astoria, Leticia (and Dennis) Farr of Ipava and Ketra (and Jon) Branson of Ipava; three sons, Gael (and Carmella Bundy) Baker of Quincy, Bill (and Jill) Baker of Canton and John Baker of Galesburg; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Vermont United Methodist Church and the Vermont American Legion Auxiliary.

Services were held Sunday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
