Squire Osborne, Sr. Dies At Age 87

Squire Osborne Sr., 87, of Havana died at 9 a.m. June 5, 1983, at the Astoria Care Center in Astoria.

Born Nov. 18, 1895, in Bluff City, he was a son of Orange and Della Butler Osborne. He married Faye Parker in August 1960. She died Dec. 18, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Virgil of Havana and Jerry of Astoria; three daughters, Nancy Butler of Urbana, Mary Koch of Bloomington and Maxine Kerr of Reno, Nev.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Blanche) Dixon of Beardstown, Mrs. Joe (Marguerite) Raines of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Harry (Kathryn) Austin of Reno, Nev.

He was preceded in death by one son, one granddaughter and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. this afternoon at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Rev. Arvil Bass officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
