Mrs. Della Osborne Dies In Nursing Home

Mrs. Della Osborne passed away Monday morning at 7:15 o’clock at the Hills Nursing Home in Rushville, where she had been the past two weeks.

Della Butler, daughter of A. J. and Margaret Curless Butler, was born near Bluff City, Oct. 16, 1871. She was aged 84 years, one month, and 26 days.

In December, 1888, she was united in marriage to the late Orange Osborne, and to this union eight children were born, one passing on in infancy and seven surviving.

Surviving are: Mrs. Margaret Varner, New Bedford, Mass.; Mrs. Marguerite Raines, Barberton, Ohio; Mrs. Kathryn Austin, San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Mrs. Hazel Kreiner, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Iva Eckstrom, North Platte, Neb.; Mrs. Blanch Dixon, Sheldons Grove; Squire Osborne, Bluff City. There are also fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and one brother, Squire Butler of Havana. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Shawgo Memorial Home, Astoria, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial will be at Bluff City cemetery.
