Kelly J. McCombs, 42, of rural Browning died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born May 10, 1962, in Beardstown, a daughter of Charles "Bud" and Betty Parry Briney. She married Randy McCombs on Dec. 1, 1984, in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Kayla McCombs, at home; one stepson, Randy (and Bobbi) McCombs of Astoria; her parents of Astoria; her grandmother, Frances Briney of Astoria; one brother, Neal (and Angie) Briney of Astoria; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ralph Briney; and her maternal grandparents, Richard and Neva Parry.
She was a registered nurse in the obstetrics department at McDonough District Hospital.
She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from MacMurray College in Jacksonville in 1984.
She was a member of Sheldons Grove United Methodist Church in rural Browning.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Marty Briney officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
