VeteranNeil Morris

Neil C. Morris, 54, of rural Browning, died at 5:42 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital emergency room in Rushville.

He was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Rushville, a son of Wilbur Eldon and Doris Ellen Cox Morris. He married Christina Thomas on May 13, 1972, in Browning. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Annalee Payne of Browning; one brother, Phillip of Pearce, Ariz.; and two grandsons.

One brother preceded him in death.

He was a Navy veteran. He worked at Du Rite Laundry in Havana for 13 years and was a custodian for Schuyler County Community Unit School District 1 in Rushville for the past 18 years. He was a member of Browning Church of Christ.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone and John Ruppel officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
