VeteranWilbur Morris Dies At Age 72

Wilbur E. Morris, 72, of rural Browning died at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 1990 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Topeka, the son of George and Gladys Folsum Morris. He married Doris Cox on Dec. 23, 1938, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Neil Morris of Browning and Phillip Morris of Kim, Colo.; one granddaughter, Annalee Morris of Browning; one sister, Cecil Franks of Forest City; and one brother, Frank Morris of Manito.

He was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, one sister and two brothers.

He was an auto mechanic and a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of Browning Church of Christ.

Memorial services were held on Friday with Rev. John Ruppel officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Bader Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church.
