Mrs. Nellie H. McCormick, 90, of Bloomington, formerly of Astoria, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 1988, in Brokaw Hospital in Normal.
She was born June 15, 1898 in Vermont, a daughter of Jesse and Nellie Scherrer Carithers. She married Arthur McCormick Jan. 1, 1918 in Vermont. He died Sept. 14, 1966.
Surviving are three daughters, Margaret McLaughlin and Polly Wherley, both of Bloomington and Mildred Dicey of Santa Monica, Calif.; a son, Robert of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
