Clarence McKinley Dies In Hospital

Clarence W. McKinley, 82, of Astoria, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 1986, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

He was born June 14, 1903, near Astoria, a son of Joseph and Magetta Prather McKinley. He married Nellie Curless in 1922. He then married Naomi Painter Feb. 11, 1933. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Rhoades of DeKalb; one grandson; one foster grandson; two great-granddaughters; and two foster great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Astoria United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Bruce W. Bolin Ghitalia officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Rescue Squad.
