Mamie C. Myers Of California Dies

Mamie C. Myers, 93, of Los Angeles, Calif., and formerly of Astoria, died at 10 p.m. Friday, Mar. 14, 1980, at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, Calif.

Born July 13, 1886, near Peoria, she was the daughter of Adney J. and Laura Etnire Curtis. She married Charles A. Myers, Nov. 9, 1905, in Astoria. He died June 19, 1952.

Survivors include two sons, Charles C. of Astoria and Merlin C. of Ipava; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Lockard of San Francisco, Calif., Violet Myers and Mrs. Lauralee Sedmack, both of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Martha Howell of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Mrs. Mabel Cain of Peoria, Mrs. Alta Vanhyning of Franklin and Mrs. Pearl Green of Hannibal, Mo.; and three half-brothers, Charles Curtis of New Berlin, John Curtis of Exeter and Alvie Curtis of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, three half-sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, with Rev. Don Salisbury officiating. Burial was in Astoria Mausoleum.
