Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Ann Mitchell, 62, of Browning, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Shawgo Memorial home with the Rev. David Powell officiating. Burial was in the South Fulton Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell died at noon Wednesday in Culbertson Memorial hospital in Rushville following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1900 in Minnesota, she was the daughter of Milton E. and Jennie Brehm Cassel. She married Otto Vern Mitchell on December 24, 1919 in Rushville.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Leonard, at home, Charles and Albert, both of Quincy; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred McMurel, Beardstown; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Baum of Canton, and three brothers, Ralph and Samuel Cassel of Bader and John Cassel of Astoria.
