Milton Cassel Dies In Field Near Bader

Milton E. Cassel, 82, died at 5 p.m. Saturday in a field near his home at Bader. Mr. Cassel was with his son Ralph, during combining operations, and while standing on a wagon apparently suffered a heart attack and died instantly. He had been in ill health for several years.

Mr. Cassel had been a resident of the Bader area over 51 years. He was born July 22, 1877 at Dauphin, Pa., to Emmanuel and Matilda Fackler Cassel. He married Jennie Brehm Dec. 7, 1899, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Katie Mitchell of Browning, Mrs. Mary Baum of Canton, John of Astoria, Ralph and Samuel of Bader; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Shawgo Memorial Home with Laurence Royer officiating. Burial was in the South Fulton cemetery.
