A. J. Markley, Well Known Woodland Twp. Farmer, Dies

Abram J. Markley, a well known Woodland township resident, died at his home south of Summum Monday morning, aged 78 years, 11 months and 11 days.

Mr. Markley was a life long resident of Fulton county. He was born in Kerton township, May 29, 1858, the son of Abram and Mary Jane (Bassett) Markley, Sr.

Mr. Markley is survived by the widow, Emma Belle Markley, two children, Mrs. Bess Wickert, Peoria, and Seymour Markley of Summum, two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Webb and Mrs. Charlotte Anthony, Silvan Springs, Ark., and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Summum Christian church, conducted by Rev. G. W. Zink. Interment in Summum cemetery.
