She was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Vermont, a daughter of Marshal Stoops and Margaret Renner Douglas. She married Milton R. Lawver on June 6, 1964, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2014.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Bollinger; and two brothers, Claire Ray and Michael Stoops.
Surviving are two daughters, Cindy (and Craig) Schaeffer and Barbara (and Kent) Cowin; one brother, Charles Stoops; one sister, Sharon Umphyres; one nephew, Michael Bollinger; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She worked at multiple restaurants, Fibra Steel Inc. and Kroger Floral Department. She owned and operated Aunt Jean’s Flower Basket, Fitness at Sisters and Time And Time Again.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
