He was born April 23, 1929, in Industry, a son of Dewey and Alma Gruber Litchfield. He married Georgia Bedwell on Sept. 9, 1951, in Industry. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Donna (and Louis) Fowler of Macomb, Diane Sayers of Industry and Debra (and Jay) Fowler of Fayetteville, N.C.; one sister, Millie Beans of Vermont; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Botts and Maxine Greuel; two brothers, Marshall Litchfield and Deane Litchfield; and one granddaughter, Nicole Fowler.
He lived his entire married life in Industry before moving to The Lamoine in March, 2019.
He was a member of Industry United Methodist Church, United Methodist Men, Gideons and the Masons.
He enjoyed farming.
Funeral services were held Monday at his church with Pastor Bennett Woods officiating. Burial was in Industry Cemetery. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
