Well Known Bader Resident Passes Away

Michael H. Lind Dies At The St. Francis Hospital Macomb Sunday

Michael H. Lind, a well known resident of Bader, died at the St. Francis hospital in Macomb, Sunday, following a paralytic stroke which he suffered a few days ago.

Mr. Lind was born at Astoria, Oct. 8, 1863, the son of Michael and Mariah Lind. He was aged 80 years, 7 months and 20 days.

On February 26, 1885, he was united in marriage to Cora May Pierson, who preceded him in death about a year ago. To them were born six children: Dorsie and Otis Lind of Astoria; Mrs. Ray Slagowski of Carbon Cliff, Ill.; Mrs. Mary Slagowski of Wyoming; Mrs. Blanch Miller of Quincy, and Bane Lind of Bader. Besides the children he is survived by one brother, David Lind of Astoria, and fifteen grandchildren.

Mr. Lind followed the carpenter’s trade for several years. He was a member of the Christian church in Bader. He was an elder in the church and served on the school board for 42 years.

Mr. Lind was a good, honorable citizen, honest, industrious, and was well liked by a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Bader Christian church, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson of Astoria. Burial in South Fulton cemetery.
