Services Conducted Monday For Otis Lind

Orley Otis Lind, 72, Astoria, a carpenter, died early Saturday in the Culbertson Memorial hospital at Rushville, following an illness of several months.

A lifetime resident of this area, he was born in Bader on Dec. 5, 1887, a son of Michael and Cora (Pearson) Lind.

He was married on April 27, 1910, in Lewistown, to Delora Sullivan, who survives, along with a son, O. Ray Lind, of Astoria, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Miller, of Quincy; one half brother, Clarence Stauffer of Virden, Ill.

One sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the Shawgo Memorial Home, by the Rev. J. H. Ruberg, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church, of which Mr. Lind was a member. Burial was in the Astoria cemetery.

Organist was Mrs. Dolores Webb. Pallbearers were Claude Batterton, Robert Ames, Lester Walters, Orley Hibbs, James Foutch and Lyle Salisbury.
