ROSA MAY (BROOKS) LIND

Mrs. David H. Lind Died At Her Home Here Friday

Mrs. Rosa May Lind, 61, wife of David H. Lind, died Friday at her home. She had been ill several weeks, suffering from heart trouble.

Born Dec. 7, 1878 at West Burston, Pa., she was a daughter of Edward and Sarah (Scott) Brooks. She was married to David H. Lind March 18, 1894.

Surviving are the husband, two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Harman, Industry, Mrs. Clara Gibble at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Shepherd of LaHarpe, Ill., and Mrs. Emma Matson, Harmon, Okla., and three brothers, E. B. Brooks, Easton, William F. Brooks, Mason City, and Albert Brooks, Cerro Gordo. A son, Ernest, died in February, 1938.

She came to Illinois with her parents when she was 11 years of age. She was a member of the Dunkard Brethren church.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by the Revs. Lester E. Fike and Howard Dickey. Burial was made in the Woodland cemetery.
