Mrs. Mabel Harman Of Industry Dies

Mrs. Mabel Harman, 88, of Route 1, Industry, died at 11:12 p.m. Monday, April 29, 1985, at her home.

She was born July 31, 1896, at Astoria, a daughter of David and Rosa Mae Brooks Lind. She married Oscar Price Harman on Jan. 16, 1918, at Astoria. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1973.

Mrs. Harman was a charter member of the South Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church near Astoria.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Flora Myers and Miss Martha Harman, both of Industry, and Mrs. Alice Miller of LaHarpe; one son, David Harman, of Industry; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Clara Miller of Perry, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by one daughter and 15 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Brother Harley Rush and Brother William Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in the South Fulton Cemetery.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at Shawgo’s.

Memorials may be made to the South Fulton Dunkard Brethren Church in her memory.
