Margaret "Peggy" Jordan, 84, of Purvis, Miss., formerly of Astoria, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.
She was a daughter of John and Inez Baldry. She married Fred H. Jordan Jr. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were one brother, John Baldry Jr.; and one sister, Mildred B. Moose.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ina Jordan of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sara E. Jordan of Purvis; and one sister, Betty Rose of Stockton, Calif.
She had an associates degree from Gem City Business School in Quincy.
She was a longtime resident of Purvis where she retired after 20 years as a secretary at Lamar County Bank.
She was a member of Purvis United Methodist Church and the UMC Women.
Services were held Monday at Purvis United Methodist Church with Howard Tucker and Elton Brown officiating. Burial was in Coaltown Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home in Purvis was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Purvis United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
