Phyllis HadsallPhyllis J. Hadsall, 72, of Bloomington, formerly of Ipava, died at 5:10 p.m. May 5, 2016, at Heritage House in Bloomington.

She was born Sept. 13, 1943, in Macomb, a daughter of Harold and Donna Hinds Hopping. She married John S. Hadsall Jr. on Nov. 24, 1962, in Ipava. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Brian (and Deborah) Hadsall of Stanford, Keith Hadsall of Omaha, Neb., Scott (and Jackie) Hadsall of Pontiac and Christofer (and Georgi) Hadsall of Oswego; three brothers, Larry (and Shirley) Hopping and Rick (and Bea) Hopping, both of Ipava, and Jim (and Jackie) Hopping of Union, Mo.; one sister, Brenda (and Roger) Hamby of Stockton, Mo.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Tammy Hopping.

She worked for Horace Mann in Springfield, then she worked at A and W and Boggs Family Diner, both in Havana, and later for the Woodhaven General Store in Sublette.

Services were held Monday at Berean Christian Church in Ipava with Pastor Doug Krukewitt officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the Illinois Special Olympics.
