Donna Ilene Hopping, 75, of Ipava, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Pleasant Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Ross and Anna Mayall Hinds. She married Harold D. Hopping on Oct. 10, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Nov. 22, 1987. One daughter, Tammy, two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Russell of Astoria and Phyllis Hadsall of Sublette; three sons, Larry and Richard, both of Ipava, and James of Union, Mo.; three sisters, Maxine Kessler of Macomb, Doreen Randall of Lewistown and Shirley Paul of Lewistown; two brothers, John Hinds of Lewistown and Lee Hinds of Havana; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a nurse’s aide at Havana and Bushnell nursing homes.
She was a member of Berean Christian Church in Ipava, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Illinois Special Olympics or her church.
