MAXINE V. (HINDS) KESSLER

Maxine Kessler

Maxine V. Kessler, 82, of Macomb, died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born June 24, 1917, in Industry, a daughter of Ross Vern and Anna Mabel Mayall Hinds. She married Archie Kessler on Feb. 1, 1938, in Astoria. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Max (Debbie) Kessler of Little York and Kenneth (Donna) Kessler of Macomb; two sisters, Dorene Randall and Shirley Paul, both of Lewistown; one brother, Lee Hinds of Havana; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

She lived in Ipava in her early years, was a graduate of Ipava High School and lived most of her married life in McDonough County.

She was a housemother for the Theta Chi Fraternity at WIU in the early 70s and was a member and Sunday school teacher at Camp Creek Presbyterian Church in Scotland Township.

Services were held Saturday at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.

Memorials may be made to either Heartland Healthcare Center or the MDH Dialysis Center.
