Archie J. Kessler, 83, of Macomb died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Heartland Health Care Center in Macomb.
He was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Astoria, a son of John and Elizabeth Etter Kessler. He married Maxine Hinds on Feb. 1, 1938, in Astoria. She died Aug. 11, 1999.
He also was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Surviving are two sons, Max (and Deb) of Little York and Kenneth (and Donna) of Bushnell; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ferne Bucher of Astoria.
A farmer, he also drove a grain truck, hauling grain to local elevators and the river elevator.
He was a member of Camp Creek Presbyterian Church.
Services were held on Saturday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Marshall Litchfield officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
