Audrey HaneyAudrey Lucielle Haney, 92, of Rushville died at 7:02 p.m. Aug. 6, 2008, at Culbertson Long Term Care Facility in Rushville.

She was born July 19, 1916, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Carl J. and Alta M. Woodruff David. She married John H. Haney on Aug. 15, 1934, in Monmouth. He died April 21, 1982. She later married James Lowell Wilson on Nov. 5, 1989, in Pittsfield. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, John D. (and Linda) Haney of Coulterville; two daughters, Sara A. (and Rodney) Boynton of Morton and B. Jane Bowcott of Kenosha, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Lynn; two sisters, Nedra L. Bankes and infant Iva May David; three brothers, Clyde David, Don David and infant Veryle David.

She attended Houston United Methodist Church north of Rushville and was a member of Rushville First United Methodist Church.

She was a member of Rushville Women’s Federation serving as past president, secretary and treasurer.

She and her husband John farmed in the early years. She also worked in retail clothing sales in the Macomb and Peoria areas many years before retiring.

Services were held Saturday at Rushville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Pichaske officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
