Floyd Hammond

Floyd G. Hammond, 87, of Lewistown, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 1996, at his home.

He was born April 16, 1909, in Ipava, the son of John E. and Maggie J. Vaughn Hammond. He married Nina C. Coleman on April 2, 1938, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sisters, Grace Hummel and Doris R. Nelson, both of Lewistown; and four nephews.

He was a farmer in Adams County. He was a 50-year member of Lewistown Masonic Lodge.

Cremation was accorded. A memorial service was held Sunday at Lewistown Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Pereboom officiating. Entombment of cremains was in the mausoleum at Ipava Cemetery in Ipava. Arrangements were by Woolsey Funeral Home, Pekin.
