JAMES NEWTON HELLER

VeteranJames Heller

James Newton Heller, 85, of LaHarpe, formerly of Table Grove and Colchester, died at 11:52 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 1995, at LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe.

He was born Oct. 15, 1910, in Table Grove, a son of Newton and Ernestine Eglin Heller.

Surviving are two brothers, George of Table Grove and Paul of Moline; and two sisters, Ellen Deener of Mason City and Amanda Anderson of Vermont.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

A member of Macomb American Legion Post 6, he was a World War II Navy veteran, serving at Pearl Harbor. He also was a member of Table Grove International Order of Odd Fellows. He was a farmer.

Funeral services were held Monday at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Ernest Louderman officiating. Burial was in Temple Cemetery in Adair.
