David Heller

David “Paul” Heller, 91, of Moline died July 3, 2010, at Heartland Healthcare Center.

He was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Table Grove, a son of James Newton and Ernstine Heller. He married Frances Baum on Sept. 6, 1942. She preceded him in death on March 9, 1989.

He also was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Surviving are three children, Jerry (and Susie) Heller of Burlington, Wash., Jean McKay of Denver, Colo., and Jeff (and Kim) Heller of Westmont; one brother, George Heller of Table Grove; a special friend, Janet Rempe; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was raised on a farm and moved to Moline in the early 1940s.

He worked for Railway Express until starting at John Deere and Company. He retired from John Deere in 1986 after more than 35 years of service for the company.

He served for many years as a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church in Moline. There, he worked on various committees and projects.

Services were held Thursday at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., in Moline. Burial was in Greenview Memorial Gardens.
