Manda M. Anderson, 91, of Vermont died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Parkview Health Care Center in East Moline.
She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Table Grove, a daughter of Newton and Ernestine Eglin Heller. She married Lyle Anderson on June 24, 1933, in Vermont. He died Nov. 4, 1992.
Two sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Donald (and Norma) of Moline; two brothers, George Heller of Table Grove and Paul Heller of Moline; one sister, Ellen Deener of Mason City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Western Illinois University, she taught in rural schools for 16 years and was a fifth-grade teacher at Vermont Grade School for 18 years.
She was a member of Vermont Methodist Church and Vermont Women's Club.
She also was a member of the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
Services were held Saturday at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
