Leona Horwedel Of Vermont Dies

Leona Horwedel, 87, of Vermont died at 2:29 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 1990 at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born May 13, 1903, in Ray, a daughter of Daniel Webster and Nola Young Aten. She married Bernard R. Horwedel on Nov. 17, 1928, in Macomb. He died Oct. 6, 1980.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Harold B. of Vermont and Merle R. of Buda; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Edith Musselman of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Vermont and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kost Memorial Home with Rev. Donald Pratt officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
