Bernard R. Horwedel, 74, of Vermont died at 9:48 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 1980, in Americana Health Care Center, Macomb, where he was a patient about six months.
Born Jan. 20, 1906, in McDonough County, a son of Ross and Edith Bossort Horwedel, he married Leona Aten Nov. 17, 1928, in Macomb.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Harold of Vermont and Merle of Buda; one daughter, Mary E. Musselman of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Horwedel was a retired farmer and a member of IOOF Lodge of Vermont.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 this afternoon in Kost Memorial Home in Vermont with Rev. Claude Currey officiating. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery.
