Russell A. Hickle, 80, of Browning died at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 1980, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1900, in Fulton County, the son of Arthur Wilson and Sylvia (Rakestraw) Hickle.
Mr. Hickle had been a farmer in this area. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Astoria American Legion Post 25.
Surviving are a brother, William H. Hickle of Macomb; and a sister, Mrs. Vera Ebbert of Astoria.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery where Military rites were conducted.
