Browning Woman Passes Away

Mrs. Arthur Hickle Dies At St. Francis Hospital In Macomb

Mrs. Arthur Hickle of near Browning, died Monday night at 11:40 o'clock at the St. Francis hospital, Macomb, following an operation. She was aged 70 years, 7 months and two days.

Mrs. Hickle was born May 25, 1873 at Astoria, the daughter of Wilson and Phoebe Smith Rakestraw. She was united in marriage to Arthur Hickle, who with the following children, survive to mourn her passing: Russell and Reynold Hickle of Browning, William Hickle, Macomb and Mrs. Vera Schisler, Browning. Emily Hickle preceded her mother in 1902.

Mrs. Hickle was the last of twelve children. She was a member of the Astoria United Brethren church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at the U. B. church, conducted by Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial will be made in the Vermont cemetery.

Friends may call at the Shawgo Memorial Home until time of funeral.
