Gary GloverGary Glover, 65, of Fair Play, Mo., died March 30, 2018, at his home.

He was born Jan. 10, 1953, a son of Chester and Elma Bowman Glover. He married Patricia Glover. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Billy Jo Glover of Rushville, Holly (and Johnny) Parker of Urbana, Jeffery (and Kaleena) Glover of Fairborn, Ohio, Robert Talbott of Fair Play, Mo., and Daniel (and Veronica) Talbott and Elizabeth Talbott, both of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Tom (and Barbara) Glover and Michael (and Rebecca) Glover; one sister, Linda (and Matt) Brown; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.

He left high school and enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served from 1970-73. He finished his high school education in Germany, and achieved a masters degree in Business Administration from Regis University, graduating Cum Laude.

He spent his working life on water purification and maintenance. He worked in the city water plants in Astoria and Blandinsville. He finally worked at Colorado Springs Utilities, where he retired from in 2012. He also taught filtration classes at Pike’s Peak Community College.

He served as a board member of the Security Public Library in Security, Colo., as well as many other posts including board member of the MSU County Extension Campus, Assistant Chaplain for the Ozark Memorial Honor Guard, a member of the DAV Chapter #66 in Bolivar, Mo., AmVets, the Masonic Lodge in Fountain, Colo., and Stockton Freewill Baptist Church in Stockton, Mo.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with a memorial to follow at 11 a.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo., at 1 p.m.
