She was born March 22, 1930, in Huntsville Township, Schuyler County, a daughter of Maurice and Gladys Grafton Hester. She married Harold Greene on Aug. 17, 1951, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2012.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Charles Scott and Bruce Hester.
Surviving are one nephew, Steve Hester of Macomb and one niece, Debbie Hester of Rushville, both of whom she raised, and their children, Addie (and Justin) Quinn, Kayla, Colton and Karli Hester; two sisters, Joyce Reeder of Rushville and Margaret Rose “Peggy” (and Larry) Worthey of Glen Carbon; and nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and a member of Camden United Methodist Church.
Services were held Monday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with Reverend Dixie Croxton officiating. Burial was in Huntsville Cemetery.
