Douglas Goodell

Douglas A. Goodell, 37, of Ipava died at 5:31 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 9, 1966, in Macomb, a son of George D. and Teresa L. Danner Goodell.

Surviving are his parents of Ipava; one sister, Amy (and Lonnie) Lucas of Colchester; one brother, Andrew (and Freda) of Marietta; and his maternal grandparents, John and Edna Danner of Ipava.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ezra Woodrow and Frances Goodell.

He was a retail buyer for Fredericks of Hollywood. He previously worked for Farm King and TG&Y, both in Macomb, and was an assistant manager of Farm King in Burlington, Iowa.

He was a graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

He was a member of Ipava Christian Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. today with Rev. Tracy Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church or the Heart of Illinois HIV-AIDS Center in Peoria.
