Addison Gibble Dies At Home

Addison S. Gibble, 87, of Astoria, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 1981, in his home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1894, in Campbelltown, Penn., a son of William S. and Emma (Stauffer) Gibble. He married Ada Bowman, June 18, 1914 in Astoria. She died April 26, 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Stauffer Gibble of Richmond, Ind., and Russell Gibble of Macomb; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Beulah) Dohner of Vermont, Mrs. Maurice (Grace) Hartman of Macomb, and Mrs. Eldon (Frances) Wright of North Manchester, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Astoria Church of the Brethren with Rev. Clinton Firstbrook officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Astoria Church of the Brethren in his name.
