Maurice B. Hartman, 92, of Macomb died at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1913, in Live Oak, Calif., a son of Peter Sylvanus and Bessie Whitlock Hartman. He married Grace Gibble on Aug. 27, 1944, in Chicago. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Norman (and Renae) and Brian; and one sister, Dolores Snader of Tahlequah, Okla.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Leola Wilson; four sisters; and four brothers.
He was a custodian at McDonough District Hospital, Woodrum's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Western Illinois University and several other area businesses.
He was a member of Astoria Church of the Brethren.
Services were held Monday at his church with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospital Hospice or to the Salvation Army.
